Look Where My Feet Have Been
I took this picture last weekend sailing right here in Manhattan, we sailed all the way to the George Washington Bridge. Amazing afternoon. Have you noticed that there are so many pictures taken this way? Look where my feet have been. Wearing Sperry's - Milly for Sperry's. Love them, they have a decent grip and I like the way they look.

Monthly Subscription Boxes Beauty - Influenster Spring Voxbox
If there was a job where I could just sample products for a living I'd love that. I think I would. Different industries, different products. Influenster comes close to my little dream. Even though I'm not paid to test the products this whole box above was sent to me for free. Ha!
My favorite? The buttery chapstick with SPF 50. Feels amazing, love it, will buy more. No wonder the company name - Chapstick became a common name. These guys rock!
The Duo Concealer is spot on, we had to let Influenster know the shade of our skin - aaaaah, that's what it was for. The oatmeal Aveeno body wash is awesome too. The body wash should be moisturizing. I got to the point I don't buy the non moisturizing body washes. This one thumbs up.
The Dr Scholl's Ball of Foot cushions I'm excited to try them for sure. They're like little water beds for your feet. Now that's an expression! Ha! New slogan for Dr. Scholl's.
The SoyJoy bar is naturally delicious, very fruity. Love!
Hally Hansen has the nail polish strips. You glue them and shape them to your nails.
I love my VoxBox so much! Thank you, Influenster. Sign up for your box, unlock the badges, spread the word about the companies, review the products. Damn, can it be my job, please...

Shopbop Sale
Welcome to my May picks. Shopbop has an awesome sale now until Thursday so perfect timing. Needless to say I did some damage. How could I not. Here's what I noticed in May. Starting from the left these are the newest Lucid New York pieces, freshly handmade by yours truly - hoop earrings and wishbone bracelet.
Then the truly summery item - a rash guard by Zimmerman. I surf and I've never seen a rash guard that cute. Companies never cared about the look of the rash guards. They were treated them more in a utilitarian sense. Here's one that looks cute too. And he made others too. Miguelina has some fantastic (as in fantasy) cover-ups, this crochet top included. Prices are a bit steep but if you wear a cover-up for a few years that's worth it. You can always explain the purchase by "I'll wear it for a few years", n'est-ce pas?
Now the turquoise ones are my sandals! I mean the ones I ordered. Do you catch yourself saying that things "are yours" instead of that something is "like yours." I do it. So I ordered the sandals by Dolce Vita, oddly enough I didn't have a problem choosing between the pink, turquoise and nude. The turquoise won. Hands down. Now the long crochet dress by Mara Hoffman is something I'm waiting for impatiently. I ordered it in XS, thank God, now I see there are only S and M left.
The top is by Anarchy Street. Interesting cut - lots of openings in different places but it's a stunning piece. Cynthia I know you like it but please don't buy it as we go to the same parties ;-) Well well let's see if my friend who says she reads this blog really does read it in its entirety lol. What do you think? Ha! How many times have I mentioned this Zara jacket - bought thanks to a tweet. It's stunning, perfect safari jacket. Love wearing it.
The Marc by Marc bag had to be included. The color is fun, I feel like it should be called a blushing kiss. Or should a blushing kiss be darker?
Never enough lace for the summer. These lace shorts are by Free People. The striped jeans are Free People too but forget it. I didn't even see a sign of these! Jane from Sea of Shoes wore them in one of her posts and that caused their overall disappearance. The link started linking to another pair - so not the same, so not the same!
There are so many of the Beckett sneakers variations. Isabel Marant is such a trend setter - she came up with the original design of these sneakers with hidden platform and lots of other designers started "getting inspired." Such is the fashion world. If it looks amazing everyone wants to sell it and buy it. Amen.

Art At The Heart
For many of this week's submissions, art was the center theme. From DIY projects to festivals, museum exhibits and dramatic runway sets - there are so many ways that art manifests itself in the world of fashion, not just in the clothes we wear. We create it, it moves us, it changes our mood and makes our world a more beautiful and magical place. I loved reading posts about the Costume Institute's new exhibit, Chanel's crystal runway set - and even how to make a glitzy pair of Mui Mui-inspired sunnies.Edited by Taylor Davies

Window Shopping in New York - All White for Memorial Day
I couldn't start writing about my window shopping experience without mentioning my current obsession aka this particular Mulberry Alexa bag with rose gold finishes. Beyond perfect. Now moving from the temptations on this is what else I saw.
This is the window display at Burberry Brit on Bleecker. Is it just me or do you also think that if you see 2 same bags, the bag looses its charm of being one of a kind and special. We all know that these leather bags are not one of a kind. Not sure how many of them Burberry had made but I'm pretty sure the number is more than one. Ok whatever. But can you please not show them to me side by side? Can you maybe take it out from your secret behind the scenes place when I'm ready to pay? OK? Good. Much better.
Calypso definitely Memorial Day ready with their white dresses and tunics.
Catherine Malandrino too. Now... the only place that's not ready is New York. It's raining outside as I'm writing it. And where does "raining outside" come from? Does it ever rain in? Anyway...
This tunic, dress is probably a piece in my wardrobe, which I wore the most last year. I bought it last year at Shopbop. This one by Tbags Los Angeles is very similar. And just by searching for it
I stumbled upon this beauty by Mara Hoffman. Wow, long crochet dress. Interesting... Pinned.

Your Personal Style
This post is inspired by a conversation I have recently had with my girlfriends. We were discussing our personal styles. I noticed that for a lot of us style was something difficult to describe.
What actually is my style?- I thought. I decided to try and describe my own personal style. I started with choosing an outfit, pick clothes which scream "Anna, this is your style."
I chose the look above. I love everything about it.
I love comfort, I love feeling sexy - tight patterned jeans - these ones are by Current Elliott, studded boots, safari jacket with leather sleeves by Zara, Victoria's Secret leopard turtleneck and the Kate Spade bag are the items I adore. They form a great comfortable ensemble. I'd call my style "urban with a splash." My choice of clothes is influenced by my lifestyle - I walk a lot for work runnung errands and for pleasure. Here are some other things, which define my style:
♥♥♥
In general I'm against wearing black, I prefer patterns.
♥♥♥
I love different textures - faux fur, leather, metal...
♥♥♥
I love adding splashes of bright colors to my outfit whether it's yellow pants, pink bag, turquoise nails, glitter shoes, etc
♥♥♥
Comfort always wins - if I can't walk a mile in shoes I won't wear during the day.

Frieze Art Fair New York, Perfect Safari Jacket by Zara and Twitter Influencers
Last week I took a ferry to Randalls Island to go to the Frieze Art Fair. There were 180 galleries from all over the world exhibiting. The event was very much worth attending - so many different media, styles and ideas. Some of them shy, others shocking, all very memorable.
I love taking panorama pictures in great spaces. So many possibilities. By the way, can you tell that the girl in the red leggins is double? Hahaha.

I'm on the ferry from Manhattan to Randalls Island. Wearing my brand new Zara jacket. It's a perfect safari jacket, it has leather sleeves. The shoes are Milly for Sperry's. I was also wearing them here. But here's the truth about the jacket... I didn't just go to Zara and bought it. I bought it because of a tweet! Yes, you read it right. I saw a tweet, clicked on it and bought the jacket.
Here it is:
Lovely stylist - Julie Matos wrote it and this sentence alone made me click. I clicked and bought it. Do you get easily influenced? What influences you most? Magazine features? Fashion bloggers? TV personalities? Celebrities? Friends? Family? Or do you only listen to your heart?

Ananda Ashram - Escapes Are Necessary
Escapes are necessary. Especially the new ones, the ones you never do. Exploring the things you don't usually explore with new people can be very revealing.
I spent the weekend at an ashram Upstate New York. I decided to open myself up to things, which I normally don't do or don't do anymore. Like I slept in a shared room! The place had no more private rooms left so I just decided to go for it. And I was so glad I did it - I met so many people and our long evenings filled with amazing conversations were very very precious.
I ate very healthy, drank a lot of green tea and I did yoga everyday. I was also going hiking a lot.
One thing that surprised me the most was the depth of the conversations. Hardly anyone was complaining, talking behind someone's back, there was very little negativity. We talked about travels, adventures, nutrition, philosophy, discussed the notion of addiction and genius. These are just a few things, which come to my mind.
Check out some of the pictures I took during one of my hikes - this place is gorgeous inside and out.
