Hello from San Francisco - Sailing, Mystic Hotel and Blue Bottle Coffee Shops

Hello from San Francisco, the city of fresh air, Blue Bottle coffee shops and challenging sailing. There's more of course but this time it was all about that for me.

The Blue Bottle coffee shops, or kiosks as they call them were a great find. The coffee was so smooth and creamy. I was hanging out there in the morning and had wishful thoughts that one day Blue Bottle coffee shop opens in New York. Little did I know that a few of them are already in the City! I'll definitely check out the Chelsea location when I get back. Yey!

I was beyond surprised to stumble upon this hotel gem - Mystic Hotel. It's conveniently located within walking distance from Union Square and being that the restaurateur Charlie Palmer is behind the restaurant-lounge, its menu is to die for.

The hotel and restaurant don't have this modern, oh so overdone sterile look but they convey modern comfort. It's very rare that I get so charmed by a hotel, ok ok, I do have to admit that the unexpected upgrade to a suite did add to being charmed.

I took this photo when sailing in the San Francisco Bay. We sailed passed the Bay bridge and could clearly see the Golden Gate bridge. It was my first time seeing San Francisco from the water.
