April ThisIsAYes - Alice and Olivia still my Favorite, Acne boots, Divine Dresses and Jewelry that can be Worn Many Many Different Ways

These are some of my picks in April, most of them coming from Shopbop. I especially love these Acne boots, which I saw on Jane's Sea of Shoes blog as one of her choices. Strong design, really like them but I'm stopping myself from buying transitional stuff - summer comes fast in New York and it gets warm. No time to wear these.

The fuchsia dress is by Rachel Pally, she does a lot of cool maxi dresses, one of them in the "oh so necessary this season" tangerine orange color, definitely worth checking out. Rebecca Taylor and her wild rose dress is nice, very nice. And the peplum dress by Alice and Olivia is as stunning as their entire spring summer collection. I bought so many pieces from them, I will write a separate post about what I bought and share a tweet that made my day - Stacey Bendett - the designer behind Alice and Olivia wishing me happy spring!

Check out the funky shoes from Fred Flare - it's such a fun site, mood booster I'd say.

And the 7 Jeans, the colorful ones, I just don't even want to take them off.

You may wonder what this car is doing on the board right up top. Well, I'm not really into cars and living in Manhattan I really wouldn't see the use for it but if for some reason a car like that showed up at my door magically one day, well I'd embrace it gratefully. Love it.

Lucid New York is offering a great selection of jewelry pieces this month. The branch necklace has been the best seller so far and bloggers' favorite. The dick necklace, or rather necklaces - because most of us prefer wearing them in twos - were very close behind - you can wear them so many different ways. Delight! Not to mention the tiny bracelets, the first three of the pack. There will be more, there will be more.

I'm enjoying my Miu Miu sneakers - they're funky but I noticed that I do prefer wearing them with pants.

The first dress by Elizabeth and James is beautiful, especially the cut. I just love the short in the front longer in the back cuts, which seem to be all the rage this season. The Temperley London dress is divine. But where would one wear this divine dress - don't try to the wedding unless you want to outshine the bride. Not. Of course my trend review could not be complete without mentioning something, anything by Marc by Marc Jacobs. Here he is creating a perfect summer dress - make it casual, dressy - Marc loves utilitarian beauty and we love him for that.
