Pikolinos Shoes and Masai Tribe

Last week I had a pleasure to be invited to an event celebrating a collaboration of the Spanish shoemaker Pikolinos with the Masai tribe. The event was organized by the Spanish embassy.
The Masai tribe added their magical ethnic touch designing selected Pikolinos shoes to their liking.

After lunch full of Spanish delicacies we were watching a video showing how the shoes are made. Notice that the video is being screened on another building. Things like that keep impressing me...

H&M Store Party

The H&M redesign and reinvention store party last night was a winner. What not to like about new clothing collections, great appetizers and wine.

Now... is this going to grow on me? Are we going to see a lot of these this season?

You think you've seen it all as far as displays? Look closer and notice the hand for the purpose of holding the jacket.

Sail C2C, Annapolis Boat Show and my new Pair of Sperrys Topsiders

I had a wonderful extended weekend full of boat browsing, crab cake eating and enjoying what Annapolis/Maryland had to offer.

Annapolis Boat Show. You could hop on and off brand new sparkling boats, get some sailing clothes or just simply have a stroll and people watch - the weather was just gorgeous for all that.

Sperry Topsider had a booth at the show and I couldn't resist the temptation. I haven't taken them off since...

Noticed this simple house with one rose at the entrance. It made me think of the Little Price.

"There's a Good Reason Turtlenecks Are Called Turtlenecks" - Man Repeller

rebecca minkoff shoes, alice and olivia pants, uniqlo turtleneck, prada bag

I've been wearing these Alice and Olivia pants a lot lately. To the point that I had two birthday parties last weekend and I wore them to both. They're so comfortable and so easy to transform from day to night.

The turtleneck makes me think of the coverage of one of the shows written by Man Repeller where she focuses on turtlenecks and starts her turtleneck reflections saying
...there is good reason turtlenecks are called turtlenecks, this wasn't just a case of let's group a style and animal together for shits...
Read more, it's funny

I love my Rebecca Minkoff shoes. They are one of those, which you can wear and wear from the first time you put them on. No need to break them in. They're soft and comfortable right away. I got this sweater at one of the boutiques in le Marais, in Paris. It has a great, generous cut, you can see it better here.

Sometimes You Just Want Something Cosy and Familiar

 diesel sweater, Tokidoki shoes

A comfortable sweater for the fall seems like a smart investment. I've been in love with this color since I got my Marc by Marc Jacobs Natasha bag exactly in this shade, which he calls "fire red."

In New York City October 3rd marReally hard to believe that summer is over. I've heard the excitement of many, who are looking forward to the leaves changing colors, wearing winter clothes, etc. For me the leaves could stay green and the sun could shine 365 days a year. Endless summer, please.
