Place des Vosges, Creperie Suzette and le Marais - My Favorite Parisian Neighborhood

I'm so lucky to be staying at my favorite neighborhood in Paris - le Marais. I'm just a few minutes from Place des Vosges - the oldest man made square in Paris. I call le Marais the "West Village of Paris" - so many cute places to eat, shop, hang.

I took these photos at dusk.  The dress is by Patterson J Kincaid
and my shoes by Pour la Victoire

The must stop in le Marais is Creperie Suzette

Hurricane Irene and September Issues

Thank God for the thick September issues, which were so helpful this weekend when most New Yorkers and beyond were not able to leave their houses for hours straight. I read, watched TV but stopped after a while. Hearing over and over that your windows may shatter got to be too much. I did download an ebook just in case the power was going to shut down for a while. Bossypants by Tina Fey. Hurricane Irene came and went, almost unnoticeable.

I'm now waiting for my flight to Paris, which is miraculously departing on time - a day after the hurricane threat.

From Day to Night Versatile Dresses

Versatile dresses are a must in my closet. From day to night dresses or "I'm going to a party but I'm not sure how dressed up it is" event dresses.

Ippolita Jewelry

I had a pleasure to preview the Ippolita fall 2011 jewelry collection. The bracelets with stones with their delicate bezels looked as if they could float on our wrists. Quartz, in its tones of smoke, clear was giving the fall line this fresh and lucite look. It's fall but why would we wear heavy, chunky, difficult to wear pieces if we can throw on a light versatile necklace, which can be layered or doubled. Ippolita fall 2011 collection is about simple elegance with a touch of air.

Prada FW 2011, the Angry Therapist and my Favorite Things Found on a Rainy Sunday

♥♥♥

Relationships - of all kinds - are like sand held in your hand. Held loosely, with an open hand, the sand remains where it is. The minute you close your hand and squeeze tightly to hold on, the sand trickles through your fingers. You may hold on to some of it, but most will be spilled. A relationship is like that. Held loosely, with respect and freedom for the other person, it is likely to remain intact. But hold too tightly, too possessively, and the relationship slips away and is lost.

It was a rainy Sunday - best weather for online shopping. I found these tattoo tights by Rodarte by Opening Ceremony, these Rag & Bone boots, this Marc by Marc Jacobs bag and this Diane von Furstenberg hat. Great fall ready finds! I'm in love with the freshly discovered by me BHLDN site. Although most items on the site are wedding related, it's worth browsing. The polka dot dress above was described for example as a bridesmaid dress. Well I bought it, not for a wedding...

Just Like Dorothy

Topshop sandals, Topshop skirt, Betsey Johnson sunglasses

Can these sandals be any cooler?! I got them at Topshop. Every time I'm at the store I always find a thing or two I absolutely love.

Summer is passing by so fast and I want to make sure and realize that it'll be over in no time.
Are you doing all the summer fun you want and more?

Running Impala Inspires Marc by Marc Jacobs

Running Impala, a South African animal inspires the Marc by Marc Jacobs collection for Fall 2011. From scarves to dresses, blouses and bags, hundreds of impalas are running through.

Here is the running impala

These are the photos I took at the Fall 2011 Marc by Marc Jacobs show, which took place in New York in February.

Gorgeous Sunsets and Nostalgia

Sometimes you just want to look at the pretty skies, sunsets, nature with noone around where nothing is moving too fast... You can find it anywhere, even in Manhattan, just look where noone else is looking...

You can find pretty colors anywhere you are...

Is it possible that the place where you live could make you feel nostalgic?
